Oh hey,
Welcome to our internets website. We’re Gareth Jackson and Mark Karinja. We’re a filmmaking duo (directors as well as DOP’s) and we’ve been working together for a little over 15 years now. As kids, we each got cameras into our hands by shooting surf, skate, and snowboard videos, which has influenced our style ever since.
We first met while working on film crews in NYC, and helped each other shoot a boat load of short films, docs, and music videos (while having the best time doing it). These days, we still shoot our own work and we always look to bring a unique perspective and aesthetic to all of our films (and still have the best time doing it).
Jackson lives in Brooklyn and Karinja lives in New Orleans. Both great cities.
Anyway, we’re super grateful for the amazing people we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with over the years and we pride ourselves in going above and beyond for every project. The + in our name is for all the talented crew members and incredible people we get to collaborate with. To us it always felt like everyone it takes to make a film + us.
